Dambazau’s Son Sacked As House Of Rep Member By Kano Tribunal

Shamsuddeen Dambazau, the son of former Minister of Interior,
Abdulrahman Dambazau has been sacked as the member representing
Sumaila/Takai Federal Constituency by an election petition tribunal
which sat in Kano on Friday August 30.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was ordered to
issue certificate of return for the constituency to Surajo Kanawa, the
candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Shamsuddeen came second in the APC primaries but became the party’s
flagbearer in the House of Representatives election after a Federal High
Court in Kano disqualified Kawu Sumaila, following the provision of
evidence that the former presidential aide contested for Kano South
senatorial ticket on the platform of the APC.
